Synopsis
European equity markets are set to open mixed amid Asian equities trading higher Friday. S&P 500 futures flat afterhours. Bond markets mixed with Treasuries little changed. Yen advancing against other currencies, dollar slightly weaker elsewhere. Of note, it's Bastille Day in France.
On today's agenda, EU's von der Leyen hosts the European Commission-United Nations Retreat. ECOFIN meeting; exchange views on financial support to Ukraine and will seek to approve conclusions on the 2023 in-depth reviews under the macroeconomic imbalance procedure, amongst other topics; ECB's de Guindos participates
Elsewhere, G7 and G20 Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, and their deputies' working groups meet ahead of formal meetings. In Germany, Ministry of Economics monthly report. Chancellor Scholz hosts Finland's PM Petteri Orpo.
