BOJ Summary of Opinions the macro focus today with attention on board member views on near-term policy outlook and wage/inflation dynamics. Central bank left policy unchanged in December and Governor Ueda's press conference dimmed expectations of a January policy change. However, Ueda's optimism on achieving virtuous cycle between wages and inflation has reinforced April as the more likely month for a rate hike following spring wage talks.
China gaming stocks extended rebound in offshore session with Tencent and NetEase rallying 3% and 5% respectively on Nasdaq Golden Dragon Index. Comes after China authorities softened their stance on online gaming with approval of 105 videogames and pledge to revise draft rules announced Friday cracking down on online game spending. Some analysts also downplayed impact of rules on companies like Tencent.
