European indices are set open higher as Asian equities trade mostly higher Friday. Tech platforms driving Hang Seng towards fresh March highs. TSMC underpinning Taiex's advance. ASX the other notable gainer. Japan and Korean benchmarks weaker
US equities were higher in Thursday trading as stocks finished near best levels. S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also posted fresh record closes.
EU scrambling after US President Trump threatened 30% tariff on goods imported from the bloc from 1-Aug. Irish Deputy PM Harris revealed a trade deal "tantalisingly close" before Trump's tariff threat arrived
Macroeconomic releases so far today: Germany Jun PPI (1.3%) y/y vs consensus (1.3%) and prior (1.2%)
Other economic due today: Spain May trade balance, Eurozone May construction output
