    • European equity markets are set to open in positive territory amid Asian equities trading higher Thursday. Japan extending rally amid continuation of trade deal optimism. SK Hynix underpinning Korean benchmark following earnings. Greater China and Taiwan markets recording mild gains while Australia lower. Nasdaq futures strengthening amid post-earnings tech gains. JGBs little changed as PM Ishiba resignation speculation continues. Aussie yields remain higher following mostly uneventful speech by RBA Governor Bullock. Dollar retreating against yen, Korean won and Aussie, steady elsewhere. Kiwi up slightly. Crude recovering from earlier lows while gold pulling back. NY copper nearing record high. Bitcoin continues to fluctuate around $120K.

    • In central banks updates, focus on ECB interest rate decision at 14:15CET, press conf 14:45, no change expected in benchmark interest rates (main refinancing operations rate 2.15% and deposit facility rate 2.00%. Turkey interest rate decision at 13:00CET. The benchmark interest rate is expected to be cut by (250bps) from current 46.0%.

    • Elsewhere, EU-China summit (through Fri) takes place. In addition, European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) Jun new passenger car registrations for EU + EFTA + UK are due to be released.

    • Further macroeconomic updates include: Eurozone, France, Germany, UK Jul flash manufacturing/services PMI, Germany Aug consumer confidence - GfK, France Jul business confidence, Spain Q2 unemployment rate, Jun PPI, Norway Jun unemployment rate, Finland Jun PPI

    • In corporate news, DACHs companies kicked off the session with Roche Holding (ROG.SW), Kuehne & Nagel (KNIN.SW), Deutsche Bank (DBK.GR), Duerr (DUE.GR) reporting Q2/H1 numbers, with the latter providing Q2 prelim figures. From France, BNP Paribas (BNP.FP) reported Q2 net income €3.26B vs consensus €3.12B, approved interim dividend of €2.59/sh and confirmed 2026 trajectory. STMicroelectronics (STMPA.FP) also posted Q2 earnings whilst Interparfums (ITP.FP) reported prelim H1 sales. Out of the Nordics, Nokia (NOKIA.FH) confirmed prelim Q2 results and revised outlook as per 22-Jul update. In Southern Europe, Italgas (IG.IM), Moncler (MONC.IM), Banco de Sabadell (SAB.SM) and Indra Sistemas (IDR.SM) posted their most recent numbers.
