    • The Kremlin has confirmed that Russian President Putin will hold talks with US President Trump as early as next week

    • The BoE Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted 5-4 to cut its key Bank Rate by 25 bps to 4.00%, as expected. For the first time, MPC had to vote twice to reach a decision.

    • Trump's global tariffs took effect overnight, pushing effective tariff rate to highest level in nearly a century. Gold strengthening following FT report on US tariffs
