Synopsis
European equity markets are set for a positive open. Asian equity markets mostly higher with Nikkei hitting fresh record high. Decent gains for Hang Seng amid gains in tech stocks. US equity futures little changed. Follows firmer close in prior sessions with S&P posting record high and closing above 6,400 level for the first time.
In central banks, ECB publishes its latest Supervision newsletter at 10:00CET. Also, IEA oil market report is due.
Economic data set to be released include Germany and Spain Jul final CPI.
In earnings, a slew of DACHs region names updated investors including E.ON (EOAN.GR) out with H1 adjusted net income €1.93B vs FactSet €1.89B, confirms FY25 guidance and TUI Group (TUI1.GR) reporting Q3 underlying EBIT €321M vs StreetAccount €265.3M. Other companies out with results include Wienerberger (WIE.AV), Brenntag (BNR.GR), Straumann Holding (STMN.SW), Evotec (EVT.GR), Stroeer (SAX.GR) and Semperit Holding (SEM.AV). In Denmark, Demant (DEMANT.DC) reported H1 EBIT before special items DKK1.85B vs consensus DKK1.98B and revised outlook for 2025 revised for organic growth and EBIT and Vestas (VWS.DC) reported Q2.
Also due to report today are Vestas Wind Systems (VWS.DC), Beazley (BEZ.LN), Persimmon (PSN.LN), Balfour Beatty (BBY.LN) and Hill & Smith (HILS.LN).
