Synopsis
European equity markets are set to open mixed amidst Asian equities mostly lower in a quiet Tuesday session. Nikkei underperforming region while Greater China markets have come off opening lows. S&P 500 futures flat afterhours. Oil prices extending recent gains; WTI currently above $91/bbl and Brent ~$95/bbl; Reuters notes weak shale output in the US spurred further concerns about a supply deficit stemming from extended production cuts by Saudi Arabia and Russia.
On today's agenda, German finance minister Christian Lindner speaking at Bloomberg Future of Finance conf. OECD to release Interim Economic Outlook. Elsewhere, Bafin and Bundesbank co-host BafinTech and German Aerospace Congress (both through Wed). Handelsblatt annual conference "Gas 2023" (through Wed) and Ukraine Defense Contact Group.

In Corporate news, Banco Santander (SAN.SM) announced the realignment of its operating model. The company is consolidating its retail & commercial and consumer activities across all markets under two new global businesses: Retail & Commercial and Digital Consumer Bank. In France, VINCI SA (DG.FP) and Aeroport de Paris (ADP.FP) both reported August traffic futures. Also in France, Afyren (ALAFY.FP), Actia Group (ALATI.FP) and SMCP (SMCP.FP) are among other companies from the region to update investors with their latest numbers.
