    • European equity market are set to open in negative territory amidst Asia equities tilting to the upside Tuesday: Strong gains in Japan although off its peaks now. Australia, South Korea and Taiwan with modest gains. India opened higher. Mainland China boards slightly higher but Hang Seng sharply down. Southeast Asia mixed. US futures slightly lower for now. US dollar slightly weaker to follow overnight losses, AUD and NZD continuing their overnight bounce, but yen weaker again; yuan flat. Treasury yields mixed, JGB yields at highest since July 2011, CGB yields bouncing off lows. Crude blends flat, precious metals a little higher, base metals largely unchanged. Cryptocurrencies off overnight highs

    • In central banks, ECB releases Nov Consumer Expectations Survey results at 10:00CET. Elsewhere on today's agenda, WTO Director-General Okonjo-Iweala hosts EU's Šefčovič and EU's Albuquerque participates in a debate in the Diplomatic Seminar organised by the Portuguese Foreign Affairs Office, Norway's Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Næss participates in the conf "North in South 2025" and in UK, parliamentary committee topics include review of the 2024 general election (10:00GMT), Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) (non-inquiry session) 14:30.     • Macroeconomic updates include: Eurozone/France/Italy/Austria prelim Dec CPI, Germany/UK Dec Construction PMI, UK Dec House Price Index - Halifax, Eurozone/ Denmark/Italy Nov Unemployment Rate, Norway Nov Manufacturing Production, Switzerland Dec CPI. In addition, Kantar will release latest UK grocery market share figures.

    • In corporate news, Sodexo (SW.FP) reports Q1 sales €6.40B vs year-ago €6.29B and maintains FY guidance. In the Netherlands, InPost (IPSTA.NA) and Aperam (APAM.NA) are out with Q4 trading updates. In Germany, Mercedes-Benz Group (MBG.GR) likely to lower medium-term profit targets, Handelsblatt reported. Out of the Nordics, Lerøy Seafood Group (LSG.NO) issued Q4 trading update whilst BioPorto (BIOPOR.DC) expects 2024 adjusted EBITDA (DKK 68M) - (DKK 73M) vs FactSet (DKK 73.4M).

    • On M&A front, Julius Baer Group (BAER.SW) confirmed it is to sell its domestic Brazilian business to BTG Pactual. Helvetia (HELN.SW) is reportedly exploring sale of loss-making German insurance operations.
