Dollar weakening against majors after hitting two-month high. Crude extending losses after Trump announced Israel and Hamas agreed to first phase of peace plan. Gold pulling back from record high with silver under some pressure. Bitcoin also in retreat.

    • On today's agenda, Eurogroup meeting takes place, ECB's Lagarde and Cipollone among the participants and Informal meeting of EU ministers for telecommunication (through Fri). In Germany, Chancellor Merz will host the German Federal Government Automotive Dialogue (includes automobile manufacturers, suppliers, others), with press statement planned following the meeting. Also attends the Brand Assn's annual conf. Norway's defence minister Sandvik participates in the Army Summit 2025 conf. Russia's President Putin will make an official visit to Tajikistan and Estonian President Karis hosts an Arraiolos grou0p meeting (through Fri). EU's Kubilius speech at the Riga Conf (through Sat). EU's von der Leyen delivers opening speech at the 2-day Global Gateway Forum.     • In political developments, French President Emmanuel Macron will name a new prime minister within 48 hours, the Elysee Palace has said, fending off speculation that fresh elections could be imminent (BBC).
