    • European equity markets ended the day higher in a broad-based advance. After initial gains, shares ratcheted higher, ending just below the best levels of the session

Also, Russia' Lavrov reportedly ready to meet US' Rubio. Wall Street's firmer open supported shares in later trading.

    • Ireland +2.4%, Italy +2.3% and Austria +2.0% led outperformers. Norway +0.4% and Finland +0.6% join the Netherlands and FTSE100 in leading underperformers

    • BOE's Lombardelli delivered opening remarks and chairs a panel at the BOE/Bank of Ghana Pan-African Central Bank Governors' conf . ECB publishes Economic Bulletin pre-release.

    • On politics, EU's von der Leyen participated in a meeting she convenes with the Presidents of the EP and the Presidency of the Council.

    • DIE ZEIT newspaper hosts discussion at 19:00CET with German finance minister Klingbeil on the government's budget, plans for defence spending and compulsory military service, as well as other domestic and international topics.

    • Norway's PM Støre attended a central board meeting of the Labour Party at the party office on Youngstorget. The country's minister of foreign affairs Eide visits China (Mon/Tue) and Singapore (Wed) and minister of labour and inclusion Stenseng spoke at IMDi's annual conf.

    • UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell addressed the official opening of COP30. There's FT Live @ COP 30 through the duration of the Summit.
