    • European equity markets are set for a mixed open. Asian equities higher Monday. Japan and Taiwan logging strongest gains with Australia and mainland China also positive. Hong Kong and South Korea closed for public holidays. S&P 500 futures strengthening on progress towards US-Iran agreement.

    • Light session expected in Europe today with multiple regions closed for bank holidays. Markets in UK, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland are closed for Whit Monday whilst US markets are closed for Memorial Day.

    • Over the weekend, Politico reported the EU turned down a UK proposal to create a single market for goods with the EU. In Denmark, caretaker PM Frederiksen has been asked to make fresh attempts to form ‌a government after centre-right talks led by Defence Minister Lund Poulsen broke down. FT reports, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands are pressing for tougher trade measures with China amid a surge of exports from China.

    • A light macro calendar sees Finland Apr PPI due for release.

    • On the corporate front, Delivery Hero (DHER.GR) confirmed it has been approached by Uber Technologies (UBER) with respect to potential takeover offer. Press reports some Delivery Hero investors are seeking more than €40/share. Elsewhere, Abivax (ABVX.FP) reported Q1 results.
