BNY collects fees from DR holders pursuant to the terms and conditions of the DRs and any deposit agreement under which they are issued.  From time to time, BNY may make payments to an issuer to reimburse and/or share revenue from the fees collected from DR holders, or waive fees and expenses to an issuer for services provided, generally related to costs and expenses arising out of establishment and maintenance of the DR program.  BNY may pay a rebate to brokers in connection with unsponsored DR issuances; brokers may or may not disclose or pass back some or all of such rebate to the DR investor.  BNY may also use brokers, dealers or other service providers that are affiliates and that may earn or share fees and commissions.

  • Synopsis:

    • Asian markets set for mixed start to Wednesday trade. Futures signaling opening losses in South Korea, initial gains in Hong Kong and Australia, and flat start in Japan. S&P 500 futures unchanged afterhours. Australian bonds weaker at the front end ahead of CPI data. Treasuries finishedstronger across the curve on Tuesday. Crude rebounding after Iran renewed tensions in Middle East (rejected Oman SoH proposal and fired missiles at Jordan). Gold and silver weaker. Dollar steady against majors. Bitcoin down to mid-July lows.

    • SK Hynix (000660.KS) quarterly results missed on top and bottom line. Company revealed 10 long-term agreements (LTAs) and is continuing discussions with major clients. Flagged ramp in shipments of HBM4 over H2 and noted development of HBM4E on track with samples shipped. Stock fell ~15% Tuesday to lowest levels since early May, having lost almost 50% of its market value since June record high. US ADRs fell another 9% overnight.

    • AI trade came under further pressure in US trading with SOX losing another 4.5% and nearing two-month low. Broader selloff in chip and chip-related names comes amid heightened scrutiny on competitive threats from China (open-source models, CXMT, DUV production) circular financing, widening hyperscaler credit spreads and role of leverage in fueling swings in South Korea. Technicals also getting blame for weakness amid a continued unwinding of crowded longs.
