Synopsis
European equity markets are set for a mixed open. Asian equities strengthening Thursday. Memory giants underpinning South Korea's outperformance. Greater China and Japan also higher while Taiwan and Australia little changed. S&P 500 futures up slightly afterhours.
In central banks, Riksbank interest rate decision at 9:30CET. Expected to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 1.75%. Press conf at 11:00. Norges Bank publishes its latest expectations survey at 10:00CET. Slovak central bank publishes its latest Structural Challenges Report (content includes monitoring the competitiveness of the Slovak economy). Bundesbank releases its latest monthly report at 12noon CET. Netherland central bank's Sleijpen speech in Paramaribo, Surimane.
Elsewhere, former UK Chancellor and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt will be in conversation with journalist John Kampfner at Edinburgh Fringe at 17:00BST.
