    • Asian markets set for negative start to Friday trade. Futures signaling opening declines in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea. Australia tracking for flat start. S&P 500 futures slightly lower afterhours. Australian bonds unchanged following recent bear flattening. Treasuries weakened across the curve overnight. Crude flat after rebounding on latest Iran headlines. Gold and silver little changed. FX markets steady after dollar rangebound. Bitcoin climbed back to $80K.

    • Nvidia's earnings and blowout guidance helped drive overnight price action with SOX closing up 2%. Nvdia had its best session since Apr-2025. Elsewhere, SK Hynix ADRs rose 2% after CEO reiterate expectation for memory shortage to last through 2030 and that any slowdown likely to be shallow. Company also exploring deepening cooperation with Kioxia on NAND flash production. Follows report Kioxia and SanDisk planning to invest more than $31B in Japan to boost production of NAND memory chips.

    • Fed Chair Warsh to speak at Jackson Hole symposium later Friday. Plenty of discussion leading into the speech about whether he will refine his July FOMC remarks and provide more clarity on forward guidance. Few articles have highlighted calls for Warsh to convince markets he will act decisively against inflation following Treasury Secretary Bessent's bond market intervention. Speaking on sidelines of Jackson Hole, Fed's Schmid, Goolsbee and Hammack all echoed recent policymaker warnings about inflation.
